ONLINE INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION AUTUMN SCHOOL - EASTERN EUROPE AND LDCs EDITION 2024 |
The Online International Anti-Corruption Autumn School – Eastern Europe and LDCs Edition 2024 is an online training organised by the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), which will run from 23 to 27 September 2024.
The training is administered and delivered in the English language only (translation or interpretation will not be provided).
The Virtual Anti-Corruption School is aimed at building ethical skills and mindsets in interested students and youth through the study of notions of integrity, ethics, and anti-corruption.
Participation in the training is free of charge and may attract more applications than available seats on the training. Please be mindful that this opportunity shall be seriously considered before committing yourself to it. For this reason, in case of non-participation or incomplete participation, IACA reserves the right to reject any future application for scholarships offered by IACA to its trainings.
Target group are students and young people:
Admissions will be processed by IACA and UNODC based on criteria such as the target group, the applicants’ suitability for the training, the English language proficiency, and gender balance.
IACA may request additional information/documentation from applicants and invite applicants for a short interview over telephone or online.
All applicants will be notified about their admission results.
Selected applicants will receive by email an offer to participate in the training and are expected to return with their acceptance by the defined means of communication and deadline.
As this training is free of charge and may attract more applications than available seats, commitment and fairness are absolutely required.
Therefore, admitted participants who have accepted their offer of participation may cancel their participation until 16 August 2024 by the means of communication defined in the offer email.
Any later cancellation or cases of non-participation or incomplete participation may lead to UNODC/IACA rejecting any future application for scholarships in UNODC's and IACA’s trainings.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, 16 August 2024, and exclusively online through the application form accessible below.
Required documents (to be attached to the application form): a. Curriculum Vitae (two pages maximum) b. Motivation letter (one page maximum – Guidelines on How to Write a Successful Motivation Letter) c. Copy of a valid passport d. Proof of the appropriate command of English e. Professional ID size photo f. Recommendation letter (optional)
If English is not the applicant’s mother tongue, the appropriate command of English may be proven by: (a) a certificate of completion of at least one year of fulltime studies where the language of instruction was English; (b) an academic degree where the language of instruction was English; (c) documentation of sufficient professional experience in an English-speaking environment; or (d) English language course certificate. Additionally, interviews may be requested by IACA.
To submit the application, applicants shall consent to the General Terms and Conditions for Professional Training and the Code of Conduct for IACA’s Programmes and Activities, as well as authorize IACA/UNODC to store, process, and use their personal data for communication and administrative purposes, until written revocation in accordance with applicable laws. UNODC and IACA will process the applicant's personal data in accordance with IACA's Privacy Policy.
