Engaging youth is key to tackle the challenges that corruption poses to society. In order to meaningfully engage youth, young people not only need to be involved but the capacity and “voice” of youth need to be strengthened.
In the spirit of fostering a co-leading and co-creating approach with young people, the GRACE initiative promotes meaningful youth participation and empowerment. Together with youth, UNODC has developed tools aimed to educate and meaningfully empower young people in becoming tomorrow’s guardians of integrity.
These tools are designed to:
help young people understand and address the complex issues of corruption, ethics and integrity;
motivate and inspire youth in actively engaging in their communities and future professions as actors of positive change committed to reject and prevent corruption in all its forms;
support the work of relevant stakeholders in meaningfully including youth in their anti-corruption efforts thus promoting the UN Youth 2030 Agenda;
adopt a whole-of-society approach to the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
