TECHNOLOGY AS AN ENABLER OF MEANINGFUL YOUTH ENGAGEMENT FOR GLOBAL ANTI-CORRUPTION EFFORTS |
Washington D.C., 10 December 2022 – In the margins of the International Anti Corruption Conference (IACC 2022), the GRACE initiative was invited to join an expert panel to discuss the role of youth and technology to advance and strengthen anti-corruption efforts around the world. The Coding4Integrity Youth Anti-Corruption Hackathon series was presented as the UNODC flagship digital innovation and social entrepreneurship initiative aimed at empowering youth to take action against corruption in innovative ways.

The workshop featured a dedicated discussion topic on “Leveraging Digital Innovation for Youth Engagement in the fight against corruption - the Coding4Integrity Hackathon initiative”, were the Coding4Integrity hackathon was presented and Mr. Batandwa Mgutsi (South Africa Team winner) presented his experiences at the 2021 Coding4Integrity hackathon and his winning solution.
